It ain’t over til it’s over: PRC approves April 10 return to CPI
After almost six years of dealing with dockets and court cases driven by USPS requests to surcharge customers because of the 2007-09 recession, the Postal Regulatory Commission issued the final order in this saga yesterday. It approved the USPS plan to remove the surcharge on April 10 along with the related new rates and product descriptions.
The sense of relief and satisfaction over at the PRC must be second only to that of the postal customers who shouldered both recovery from the Great Recession and above-inflation postage rates.
