Federal employee and retiree association opposes the Medicare portion of draft bill

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) legislative director was quoted in an article as saying: “This version of the legislation is an improvement over the original plan but still contains a requirement that postal retirees must enroll in Medicare to maintain their eligibility in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program. This requirement is still unacceptable to NARFE,” stated Ms. [Jessica] Klement.
