In spite of all the digital, social media, and smartphone alternatives, Americans still love to receive postal mail. A recent Gallup poll summarized below confirms that mail still matters, a lot.
For us, this type of information confirms our strongly held belief that strategies for the future of the USPS, whether legislative or management decisions, must be based on retaining a diverse and high quality selection of postal mail content in our nation’s mailboxes. Content does matter. And it needs to be more than packages for the USPS because there are great private sector companies that deliver lots of packages. Magazines and newsletters that people care about, subscribe to, and pay for come to mind.
